The Chamber celebrated the grand opening of At Home a home decor superstore on November 4. The enormous 82,000-square-foot complex is unique to this area and hopes to be a staple in Albany and beyond as the company expands east. The store is located in Crossgates Commons 161 Washington Avenue Extension, Albany. The company plans to employ 25 full-time people immediately with hopes to grow that number soon. With the Albany location, Plano-based At Home now has 120 stores in 30 states. At Home offers an expansive selection of more than 50,000 items, including seasonal and holiday décor, wall art and decorative accents, rugs, housewares, patio furniture and home furnishings.

Crossgates Commons is built within the Albany Pine Bush, one of the largest of the world's 20 inland pine barrens. One of the largest remaining remnants of the Pine Bush is located across Washington Avenue from the plaza, and is managed as the Pine Bush Preserve. Grand opening events will be held Friday, November 4 through Saturday, November 5. Festivities will include an official opening ceremony with a ribbon-cutting and onsite giveaways for customers. The "similar styles" price noted is our researched retail price at a point in time of similar style of aesthetic item at another retailer offering home décor products. Like other home décor retailers, we work with a variety of partners to source our products, making each one unique to At Home.
